Everything you need to get from home to Fateh Vilas.

Flights

We recommend flying into Delhi or Mumbai — both are well connected internationally, and either is a good spot for a bit of last-minute shopping before the wedding. From there, it's a short domestic flight on to Udaipur (airport code UDR).

Visa

Most international guests will need a tourist e-visa for India. It's a simple online application — apply at least a few weeks ahead. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from your travel date.

Getting around

Once you land in Udaipur (and even in Delhi and Mumbai), Uber and Ola are the easiest way to get around — reliable, inexpensive, and simple to book from your phone.

You travelling all the way out to celebrate with us means more than we can put into words — that's genuinely the only gift we're hoping for, no need to bring a thing. If you'd still like to give something, please keep in mind we're limited on luggage space travelling back to the UK, so we'd gently ask you not to bring anything big or heavy!

FAQ

A few things international guests often ask about Indian weddings.

Most international guests will need a tourist e-visa. It's a simple online application through the official Indian government e-visa portal — we'd suggest applying at least a few weeks ahead. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from your travel date.

Lovely, actually — sunny, dry days around 25–28°C, with cooler evenings that can dip to 10–12°C. A light jacket or shawl is worth packing for evening functions.

Every function has its own dress-code guidance on its page — as a general rule, vibrant Indian or Indo-western outfits are always welcome.

Uber and Ola both operate reliably across Udaipur — worth downloading the apps before you land.

Cards are widely accepted at hotels and restaurants, but it's worth carrying some Indian Rupees for smaller vendors, tips and markets. ATMs are easy to find around the city.
